I don't have much information for the Midwest (though Old Grain is
a fine brew if you plan on drinking a lot).
But there is ice!
- Farmed ice. (WI3-5, 43 feet). In central MN near Brainard is a tower
formed from telephone poles where ice is farmed.

On the west side of the river across from downtown there's 35-45 feet of
slab-to-vertical ice. Access from above allows the set up of top-ropes.
